Doula + Birth Photography
One trusted person. Two ways of holding the story.
Relationship-centered birth doula support and documentary birth photography woven together so your birth space can stay more intimate, familiar, and continuous.

The doulatog difference
One relationship, not two separate hires
Most families who want both services hire two separate people. I offer support and photography through one relationship. By the time labor begins, I already know your preferences, your people, what helps you settle, and what parts of the story matter most to you.
That familiarity lets me move more intuitively through the room — sometimes beside you with both hands working, sometimes stepping back long enough to preserve what is unfolding.
Why families choose one person
Fewer strangers, more trust
One relationship
Trust is built before the birth day.
Fewer people in the room
A more intimate birth space without a separate doula and photographer.
Continuity
The person documenting the day also understands the context, preferences, and story behind it.
Support-centered photography
The camera is never more important than what you need from me as your doula.

An honest note
How I balance both roles
Birth is unpredictable, so I usually move between support and photography based on what the moment calls for. There may be times when you need my hands or attention more than another photograph, and other times when I can step back and focus fully on documenting what is unfolding.
If you want continuous doula care and photography woven together, the combined experience is designed for exactly that.
The experience
The experience includes
- Prenatal preparation and relationship-building
- Ongoing pregnancy support
- On-call birth support
- Continuous doula care through labor and birth
- Documentary birth photography woven around your support needs
- Immediate postpartum support
- Professionally edited private gallery
- Postpartum follow-up

Doula + photography questions
The details that matter most
If you need my hands or full attention, I may set the camera down for a time and return to documenting once the moment allows.
Absolutely. We'll talk about your preferences and boundaries before birth, including anything you do not want photographed. You can also change your mind or ask me to stop photographing at any point.
It may be. Medi-Cal and some commercial plans may cover eligible birth doula services, while photography remains a private-pay service. I'll verify your benefits and explain how your coverage can be applied.
It depends on what matters most to you. The combined service is designed for families who value one trusted person moving between support and photography. If continuous hands-on doula support and continuous photographic coverage at the same time are both essential to you, a two-person team may be a better fit. You can also hire me as your birth photographer only if you want photography to remain my primary role.
Your birth photographs are private. I only share images publicly with your written permission, and you can choose whether I may share all, some, or none of them. Your decision never affects the service or care you receive.
If one familiar person feels right, let's talk about your birth space
If the idea of one familiar person caring for both the experience and the story feels right, let's talk about what you want your birth space to feel like.
